  2. 1 cup rice flour
  3. 2 green chillies finely chopped
  4. 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  5. to taste Salt
  6. Chevti dal (mix dal tadka)-
  7. 3/4 cup urad dal
  8. 1/2 cup tur dal
  9. 1/4 cup chana dal
  10. 2 tbsp green chilli, ginger and garlic paste(2:1:2)
  11. 2 tbsp oil
  12. 2 garlic cloves cut into pieces
  13. 1 dry red chilli
  14. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  15. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  16. 2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  17. 2 tsp garam masala powder
  18. To taste Salt
  19. As needed Water
  20. 2 tsp lemon juice
  21. As required Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
  22. Kapuriya (steamed balls of mix flour)
  23. 3/4 cup rice flour
  24. 1/4 cup chickpea flour
  25. 2 tbsp tur dal flour (or use boiled dal)
  26. 2 cups water
  27. 1/4 tsp carom seeds
  28. 1 tsp grated ginger
  29. 1 &1/2 tsp green chilli paste
  30. 2 tbsp raw peanuts crushed
  31. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  32. to taste Salt
  33. 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  34. 1 tbsp curd (for softness)
  35. 1 tbsp oil
  36. 5 tbsp chopped mixed vegetables (all coloured capsicum & carrot)
  37. As needed Stuffed with grated cheese and green chutney

Steps to make to make South Gujarat dinner special platter

  1. Chokha na rotla (rice flour rotla)-
    Mix all the ingredients and knead the dough for rotla using water.
  2. Roll the rotlas and roast them on a iron tava. Apply ghee on it.
  3. Chevti dal (mix dal tadka)-
    Wash and soak all the dals for about 20 mins.
  4. In a pressure pan add oil and cumin seeds - red chilli and cut garlic, heat it.
  5. After cumin seeds crackles add the dry masalas.
  6. Add the green chilli, ginger and garlic paste.
  7. Add the dals, salt to taste.
  8. Add about 3 cups water and pressure cook it for 1 whistle and simmer for 15 mins.
  9. After the dal is cooked add lemon juice.
  10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  11. Kapuriya (steamed spicy balls)-
    Boil water
  12. Add carom seeds, ginger, green chilli paste, cumin seeds, salt, turmeric powder, curd, oil and vegetables.
  13. After the bubbling starts simmer the gas and add all the three flours.
  14. Take care that there are no lumps formed.
  15. If required add water after mixing properly.
  16. As soon as the mixture leaves the sides of the pan switch off the gas.
  17. Do not cook it fully and let it cool down properly.
  18. Make balls from the above mixture and stuff them with green chutney and grated cheese.
  19. Steam the balls for 10-12 mins.
  20. Shrikhand is mango flavoured with cut pieces of mango added to it.
